We are a choir of around  70 voices with members from North Derbyshire. We have a reputation for giving concerts of high quality presented with  professional  soloists,  groups and orchestral players. 
We perform at least 3 concerts and a ' Christmas Cracker ' every season with a very varied repertoire.

A message from our President,  Brian Kay in this 50th season.

 

It gives me great pleasure - as always - to be able to send warmest good wishes to the Derbyshire Singers in this great milestone year. Half a century of glorious music-making is certainly something of which to be extremely proud - as indeed have I been for so long, to act as the choir’s President. 

 

Looking back through a list of past concerts, it’s fair to say that the choir has really covered the field and flown the flag for so many areas of choral music, including (most importantly) works by living composers and for this - as well as for the sheer pleasure the choir has given to so many audience members over the years - we must all offer our congratulations and thanks.

 

When the great Don Bradman scored yet another century, he simply re-took his guard and set off on the next one. The Derbyshire Singers will no doubt do the same thing as they set off on the next fifty years of their great choral journey in best heart and voice.
