The Derbyshire Singers
The Derbyshire Singers is a choir of local singers residing mostly in the northern areas of the county of Derbyshire. They rehearse in Matlock and perform three or four concerts with professional instrumentalists and soloists every year.

The conductor is Lynne Clark, who is a very experienced choral conductor and lecturer for the British Kodaly Academy. Having been Head of Music at Lady Manners School in Bakewell, she is now Leader of Instrumental Development for North East Derbyshire. |

Her husband, Joseph Clark, the founder of the choir, was the principal conductor until 1995 and is now the Choral Director. He is currently a committee member of the East Midlands Branch of the National Federation of Music Societies, recently renamed Making Music. |
