Described by the Times as a "delectable soprano and a serene, ever-sentient presence", Anna studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Noelle Barker. Notable concert performances have included Britten's War Requiem at the Berlin Philharmonie; Mozart’s Mass in C minor for the Clarion Music Society in New York; Bach's Christmas Oratorio in Tokyo; Handels' "L'Allegro, Il Penseroso ed Il Moderato" with Paul McCreesh in Cracow; Mendelssohn’s Elijah alongside Bryn Terfel; the Russian premiere of Thomas Ades' "Life Story"at the Rachmaninov Hall in Moscow and the modern premiere of Rameau's Anacreon of 1754 with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

Particularly noted for her work in Modern and Baroque repertoire, Anna’s performances of Berio’s Folksongs; Pergolesi's Stabat Mater; George Crumb song cycles and Schoenberg's Pierrot Lunaire have all been broadcast on BBC Radio 3. Her BBC Proms appearances include performances with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra; the BBC Symphony Orchestra; the Britten Sinfonia and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.

In recital Anna has appeared at the Aldeburgh and Cheltenham Festivals and at the Purcell Room; the Wigmore Hall; Wilton's Music Hall; King's Place; St John’s Smith Square; William Christie's Thiré Festival; Lille & Strasbourg Opera Houses and recently gave a lute song recital with David Tayler in the Rittersaal of the Schloss Adelebsen in Germany.

Anna has twice created title roles in new operas at the Almeida Theatre - The Girl of Sand and Ariadne, both composed by Elena Langer, and other recent opera roles include performances at Birmingham Opera Company; Salisbury Festival; Oper der Zeit Austria; Göttingen Händel Festspiele); ENO; Young Vic; Bregenz Festival/Royal Opera House Linbury; Aldeburgh Festival/Amsterdam Muziekgebouw and La Scala, Milan. 

Plans include Glück's Paride ed Elena in Nuremburg; a programme of early Russian operatic arias with Philharmonia Baroque in San Francisco; Bach's Christmas Oratorio at Sydney Opera House and a recording of the Couperin Leçons de Ténèbre with Jonathan Cohen.
